Wadsworth's own moving company
Most movers that show up in Wadsworth are driving in from Akron or Cleveland. We're not. Midwest Moving Direct is based at 350 State Street, Building 3a/3b, a few minutes from the square. That matters for two reasons: the crew isn't burning your morning in traffic on Route 94, and if something comes up the week of your move, you can walk in and talk to Joe or Brian.
We move people between Wadsworth's older neighborhoods near downtown and the newer subdivisions off Ridgewood and Fixler, into and out of the condos near the Wadsworth Giant Eagle, and across the line to Medina, Norton, Rittman and Doylestown. If you're moving within town, a two-bedroom house is usually a half-day job.

What customers say
What more can you say? Joe, Brian, Jim Rick, Keenan and, of course, Matt. These are top-notch pros with hearts to match. The amazing effort they put in during a very stressful time was beyond our expectations. Our move from Akron to Medina was made so much easier! We will spend the rest of our lives with gratitude and love in our hearts for Midwest!!!!!
They did an amazing job moving a heavy bar from Green to Bath Ohio. Bar arrived in perfect condition. Super easy to communicate with and very reliable. They saved me from another company that canceled on me last minute.
Brian and Matt did a terrific job of orchestrating the move my Matrix A30 Ascent trainer from Akron to Cleveland. Though there some tight corners and tricky steps with which they had to deal, the hevy exercise machine move was handled quickly and well. Brian and Matt were highly responsive, very courteous, and prompt. Excellent working with the two of them! Thank You Guys!!

Frequently asked questions
Do you have an office I can visit in Wadsworth?
Yes. 350 State Street, Building 3a/3b, Monday through Saturday 9 to 5. Call ahead so someone's there and not out on a job.
How fast can you move me within Wadsworth?
In the off-season, November through March, usually within a few days. In spring and summer, book two to three weeks out for a weekend.
Do you charge extra for stairs or a long driveway?
Stairs beyond the first flight and carries over about 75 feet from the truck add to the quote. We ask about both when we quote, so there's no surprise on move day.

Yes. Both are common single-item jobs for us. We bring the equipment and the extra crew member those need.
Will you move me from Wadsworth to Medina or Akron?
Yes. Medina is 10 minutes from the office, Akron about 25. Those are still local moves.
